Delete your account
You can delete your SalamGuide account and the data linked to it at any time.
In the app
- Open SalamGuide and sign in.
- Go to Profile, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away.
By email
If you can't use the app, email development@salamguide.org from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm it's you and delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your account: name, email, phone number and password hash
- Your profile, saved places and collections
- Your event RSVPs and reviews
- Places you suggested that are still waiting for review
What may be kept
- Server error logs, which can include request details, for up to 90 days before they're removed automatically.
- Places you suggested that we've already checked and published. These become part of the public listing and no longer carry your name or email.
Settings, your chosen city and reminders are stored only on your phone. To remove them, delete the app.
